Minutes of Meeting – June 7, 2011
Meeting held at Bronx Park Community Centre with 14 members in
attendance.
MOTION by Jean Marc, seconded by Richard L. to accept Minutes of Meeting of May 5, 2011.
Treasurer’s Report
- Balance in account is $XXX, after payment of $XX for domain name and charitable donation of $25.00 to Children’s Hospital.
MAAC Report
- No report, but members are reminded that minutes from MAAC report were sent out by email earlier.
Old
Business
· Four 567 members showed up for the Bronx clean up, which took place on May 14, 2011. Another date will be planned in the late fall, so that more members are given the opportunity to volunteer a few minutes of their time.
· South Beach Car Show was well received.
· Bill D. attended the Manitoba Classic & Antique Auto Club Swap Meet, which was well attended.
· Jean Marc attended the Carmen Car Show on May 20, 2011.
· Bev L. has asked for follow up on the barbeque, and everyone should reply to Marcel J. by June 20. Please reply to lmjeans.
· Richard P. brought out four samples of jackets available to 567 members, and will have additional information at a future event or meeting.
New
Business
- Ray M. sent out an email from Bob C. of MAAC to attend a specific clinic at Murdock McKay High School, which was attended by Bill D. and Richard P.
- July 8, 2011, is a tentative date for the multicar turn out at the Legislative Building and Memorial Boulevard.
- At the meeting, 567 members were reminded of the various events scheduled for June, which are set out in the MAAC events and directory.
- Congratulations to Marcel Jr. and Bree on the birth of their daughter.
- Marcel Sr. mentioned the return of NHL to Winnipeg and Bob F. indicated that he will exercise his priority option, with Bernie N. indicating he would commit up to 10 games (please note Bob F. is unable to accommodate any other specific commitments at this time, although individual tickets may be available from time to time during the 2011-2012 hockey season).
- Gary F raised the idea of cruises on Wednesday nights to the various A & W locations.
- Gary F. mentioned the addition of pictures from Rod-A-Rama to our website.
Next meeting to be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. at Bronx Park Community Club on 720 Henderson Highway.
